中华民国开国纪念币是由民国发行的一款纪念铜钱,正面“中华民国开国纪念币”字样,十文,背面交叉龙旗。1911年辛亥革命取得胜利,并在1912年元旦宣布成立了中国民国,民国的正式成立也标志着两千多年的封建君主制度正式完结,中国历史发展进入了崭新的一页。因此为了纪念中华民国的成立,特别发行了中华民国开国纪念币十文铜币,取代之前清朝时期所发行的铜元。
